Registration Information

Regular Registration for 2008-09 Classes

Classes are offered on a nine-month (38-week) term, from September 8, 2008 through to June 13, 2009.

New registrations are accepted as of June 2008 and continue throughout the fall and winter, until the end of January 2009, based on class availability.

Enrolment can be done in person by visiting our office at 509 Parliament Street, or by calling our office at 416-924-5657 to enroll over the phone. You may also print off a registration form from the website and mail the form in with your payment.

Students will not be permitted to attend classes until their registration form is completed and fees are paid.

We ask that all parents accompany their child(ren) to the first dance class.

Early registration allows current School of CCDT students to pay reduced rates for 2008-09 classes. You are welcome to register in person or by phone. Please note that, after June 30th, all registrants will be required to pay 2008-09 rates.

4 FREE tickets to CCDT’s December 2008 performance of WINTERSONG – dances for a sacred season!
2 FREE tickets to CCDT’s spring 2009 performance of Centre Shift!

Important Registration Details

When you enroll in a class, you are enrolling for the 9-month dance year from September 8, 2008 to June 13, 2009.

Though we try to keep the class schedule the same, there are instances where changes are made after Early Registration. Final class times and class schedules will be sent out with enrolment confirmation. They will also be listed in our school brochure and on the website in August 2008.

Payment: You must pay in full or in installments at the time of registration.

Full Payment or First Installment: Your first installment or full payment is due upon enrolment, and may be paid in the form of cheque*, cash, debit, or VISA**.

Subsequent Payments: For those opting to pay in installments, all subsequent payments are due in the form of either post-dated cheques or VISA pre-authorizations, and are due at the time of enrolment.

1 class/week: If you are enrolled in one class per week, your subsequent (and final) payment is due January 17th, 2009.
2 or more classes/week: If you are enrolled in two or more classes per week, your subsequent payments are due December 6th, 2008, and your 3rd (and final) payment is due March 7th, 2009.

Outstanding Payments

Payments which are outstanding are subject to a $10 charge. NSF cheques are subject to a $25 charge. CCDT reserves the right to prohibit students with outstanding fees from attending classes until full payment is received.

* Cheques should be made payable to School of CCDT.
** A $7.00 service charge applies to all VISA transactions.

Withdrawal Policy

First installments, including full-year payments, are non-refundable.

Students withdrawing must give written notice of withdrawal before the next installment is due to be processed. Otherwise payments will be processed and no refund will be granted.

Discounts & Scholarships

Discounts

Families with more than one dancer enrolling automatically receive a 5% discount.

Scholarships

A limited number of scholarships are available for those in need of financial assistance. For more information, please call us at 416-924-5657 as soon as possible, as most scholarships are awarded during the months of August and September.

Missed/Cancelled Classes

Missed classes are made up by arrangement with the Artistic Director or School Administrator where appropriate classes are available.

Cancelled classes will be rescheduled at the majority’s convenience.
