EVERYDAY MOVEMENT
Providing dance education workshops and performances to support the curriculum
EVERYDAY MOVEMENT is an extensively developed dance education program, created in consultation with the Toronto District School Board, which supports the Ontario dance curriculum requirements. Everyday Movement provides a unique and active learning experience for students who have little to no dance background.
Through our workshops for grades 1+, age-appropriate material focuses on making dance, creativity, and artistry accessible to all. Available in a downloadable digital format for presentation in schools.
Performances at local theatres will thrill your students to see our CCDT Company dancers—still in their teens—performing on stage. Performances are designed for for a wider audience, grades 2-12 and are approximately one hour long, including a Question & Answer session at the end of the show.

EVERYDAY MOVEMENT - Educational film for school teachers
EVERYDAY MOVEMENT is a program designed by leading educators and dance artists to help teachers and students, Grades 1-8, enjoy the dance curriculum together. The 90-minute film features artists working with students, in collaboration with generalist classroom teachers. This resource provides a series of scaffolded dance activities beginning with an exploration of the elements of dance and progressing to student composition of movement phrases. Opportunities for meaningful reflection and analysis are embedded throughout the chapters.
Using EVERYDAY MOVEMENT inspires student creativity and reveals to students and teachers alike that dance is a language you already know.
